Distance Learning

Faculty in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies believe that technology and web enhanced learning opportunities are effective in increasing student engagement and in deepening student learning.  To that end, many faculty members in the College incorporate web based learning tools, including course management systems such as Blackboard and Moodle, blogs, and Wiki’s within traditional face-to-face courses.  In addition, the College offers numerous hybrid courses, learning environments which include both traditional face-to-face class sessions and online sessions.

The College also offers one degree completion program, a graduate certificate program, as well as a number of general education, elective, and major courses in totally online format.  Students may choose among face-to-face, hybrid, and totally online courses as they complete their degree programs.

The College of Continuing and Professional Studies offers the following:

  • Web based learning tools
  • Hybrid courses which blend online class sessions with traditional face-to-face sessions
  • Fully online courses
