Plus 2 Degree Completion Option

The Public Safety degree completion program is designed to allow students who have completed 60 or more hours of undergraduate coursework to earn a Bachelor of Science in Social Science from Mercer University in as little as two years.  All courses are available online or on campus at Mercer locations in Atlanta, Douglas County, Henry County, Macon and Newnan. 

This program is designed for students who have an associate degree in criminal justice, emergency management services, or paralegal studies from the Technical College System of Georgia or the University System of Georgia. Through special agreements, up to 64 hours of credit may be transferred to the Mercer University program.

The online format is designed to meet the educational needs of these students by allowing them to continue part-time or full-time employment.  The online classes will be taught by the same faculty that students find in our traditional classroom settings.

The program includes 40 hours of undergraduate coursework from a variety of disciplines including criminal justice, homeland security, emergency preparedness, organization leadership, information systems, and psychology.
